I went in to take my 3 (almost 4 year old) daughter to him for an abscess tooth. He just checked her over the first day and we made an appointment for the next to have the tooth pulled. When I went back in today for the appointment my daughter was upset due to just waking up and of course pain from the tooth. He made me feel rushed and told me it would be a miracle if I could calm her down. He was more worried about rushing me out of the office than actually trying to talk to my daughter and maybe making her feel comfortable??? He seemed very irritated that I was so upset that she was upset and clearly the procedure wouldn't be done today. He told me that as we discussed the day prior he didn't recommend 3 year Olds in the chair for this type of thing and he knew it wouldn't be a success. Then why didn't he tell me that yesterday when I was in there??? Those were not his words. Why would I make an appointment and why would he let me if he as a medical "professional" advised against it? What a waste of time and money. Would never ever recommend them.
My dentist recommended we see a pediatric dentist for my 7 yrs old son to get his tooth filled. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The women doing the initial check up reassured me the doctors are kid friendly and they will use laughing gas to relax him because after all he is 7yrs old and nervous. We waited 4 months to get the actual appointment so I took the day off work and my 7 yr old was obviously nervous and the doctor didn't even look in his mouth. He refused to even try the laughing gas to relax him. I explained the reason we were there was because he is a pediatric dentist and he still insisted he could not do the filling because my son was upset. (He was not screaming or kicking he was pouting and nervous). I am so angry and such an unprofessional dentist, a do called pediatric dentist. No wonder kids hate the dentist.
Dr. Shaw was so unprofessional.
I have been calling and calling to get my daughter in for an appointment.. Uhm no one will answer the phone. Not once. Ever..
The receptionist wasn't very nice or pleasant, the nurse was extremely nice but the dentist didn't even talk to us regarding our 5 yr olds teeth needing fillings..... the overall experience wasn't a good one because the receptionist was so angry from trying to find our insurance, she literally would walk back and forth huffing and puffing like it was our fault, it's her job, do your job without complaint or find a new job.
He did a good job on grandsons teeth he had rauted teeth n he pulled them out thru surgery by cutting them out so he would have better teeth when they come back in
